Kitchen Remodeling in Shreveport, LA

Shreveport proper holds northwest Louisiana’s most character-rich kitchens: South Highlands and Broadmoor homes with galleys walled off from the living room, pier-and-beam cottages with settled bones, and post-war ranches trading charm for dated finishes. These homes take beautifully to opened layouts, carefully planned storage, and finishes that respect the house’s age.

The classic Shreveport remodel is the wall removal — taking out the partition between kitchen and living room in a 1930s-60s home, adding an island or peninsula, and suddenly the whole main floor lives differently. Pier-and-beam floors that move with the seasons, older wiring, and plaster walls are the rule, not the exception — and local pros plan for them from the first walkthrough.
